Feed your skin beautiful

16/11/2020

There’s no doubt that glowing, radiant skin makes us feel beautiful and youthful. A good skincare routine and healthy living can contribute to the glow and make you feel better from within. So whilst we’re facing the dull and dreary Winter weather to come, and many of us have no sign of a holiday in the sun to look forward to, now’s a good time to encourage the glow from within and feed your skin beautiful.

Here are some great skin-loving foods to include in your daily diet:

1. Leafy greens

Dark, leafy greens are packed with skin-loving nutrients. High in vitamin C, they’re great for countering exposure to environmental toxins, UV rays and pollution. Try adding kale or spinach to your eggs in the morning, or your smoothies.

2. Vitamin C

One of the most important vitamins for the skin as it contributes to the body’s collagen-producing function and helps skin to look supple – we all need a bit more of that! It also helps the body perform tissue repair and may protect against sun damage too – not to mention building immunity and preventing illness. Many fruits and berries contain vitamin C including blueberries, raspberries, goji berries.

3. Healthy fats

Think avocados, nuts and seeds for healthy fats. These types of foods are great for skin renewal, intense hydration and nourishment. Avocados contain carotenoids which have anti-inflammatory properties, whilst nuts and seeds provide vitamin E which boost skin regeneration and protect it from free radicals

4. Omega 3’s

Chia seed pudding is a great way to get a daily dose of Omega 3. This really is essential for a glowing complexion and may also assist in balancing hormones and lowering blood pressure.

Try incorporating these foods in your diet and see if you notice the difference.
